#GDBHT2020 Spotlight: Rogers Behavioral Health

Rogers Behavioral Health, one of our Going Digital: Behavioral Health Tech sponsors, sits down with Solome to talk about the diversity of their behavioral health programs for youth and adults and how they quickly adapted to telehealth due to COVID-19. Watch their session on behavioralhealthtech.com to see the full story:

What is Rogers Behavioral Health and what do you do?

Rogers Behavioral Health is a nationally recognized, not-for-profit provider of highly effective mental health and addiction treatment that helps people reach their full potential for health and well-being. We offer evidence-based treatment for adults, children, and teens with depression and mood disorders, eating disorders, addiction, OCD and anxiety disorders, trauma, and PTSD. In addition to a growing network of regional locations in California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee, Rogers operates three inpatient behavioral health hospitals, nine residential programs, and seven outpatient centers in Wisconsin. The System also includes Rogers Behavioral Foundation and Rogers InHealth. Learn more at rogersbh.org.

What kind of organizations are you typically partnering with to deliver Rogers’ services?

Helping a patient on the road to recovery means collaboration and partnership among everyone involved in the process. We work with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, social workers, counselors, educational consultants, dietitians and emergency departments as well as schools and emergency responders and others to facilitate referrals of patients who need the higher level of specialty care that Rogers offers via inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient care.

Rogers also contracts with external partners such as Cerner for our electronic health record system and Simpler to support our work in lean process improvement.

How has COVID-19 played a role in the services you provide at Rogers?

As the COVID-19 pandemic evolves, Rogers Behavioral Health has remained committed to providing our patients, colleagues, and communities with mental health and addiction treatment that is critically needed at this time. To ensure patients could continue to access treatment, the Rogers team worked tirelessly to launch telehealth outpatient treatment through Rogers Connect Care. Over the past few months, we were able to serve more than a thousand patients in a secure, virtual environment, while closely monitoring patient feedback and clinical outcomes. In addition, Rogers continues to treat patients in our inpatient and residential levels of care in southeastern Wisconsin by employing a variety of safety and cleaning measures from universal masking physical distancing, and hand hygiene to eliminating visitors and having as many people as possible working from home. Rogers also offered enhanced benefits to our employees including 14 days of additional paid time off for COVID-19-related needs, help with finding and paying for childcare services, and discounts and meals when possible.

How can interested audience members get involved?
